Kenall EnviroPro (EPLB Series) Delivers Vibrant Illumination for the New San Francisco Flower Market
For more than a century, the San Francisco Flower Market has been a cornerstone of Northern California's floral industry. When the market relocated to a newly renovated 177,000-square-foot facility created from six historic warehouse buildings, the project team sought a lighting solution that would honor the site's industrial heritage while creating a bright, welcoming environment for growers, vendors, florists, and buyers.
To meet stringent lighting requirements and support the market's sustainability goals, The Engineering Enterprise selected Kenall's EnviroPro Low Bay luminaires. More than 120 luminaires provide color accuracy exceeding 90 CRI, helping flowers appear vibrant and true to color while delivering required light levels throughout the facility. The fixtures' uplight component enhances vertical illumination, reduces shadows, and creates an open, inviting atmosphere across the market's diverse vendor spaces.
Additionally, the rounded fixture design helps discourage bird roosting, reducing maintenance concerns in the large warehouse environment. Beyond the market buildings, the parking structure features 84 Kenall SenScape luminaires, extending high-quality illumination throughout the site and supporting a safe, welcoming experience for visitors from arrival to departure.
Together, EnviroPro Low Bays and SenScape luminaires help create a vibrant, sustainable destination that celebrates the Flower Market's history while enhancing the experience for vendors, buyers, and visitors alike.
