Kenosha, Wisconsin (August 6, 2026) – Kenall Lighting enhances Mighty Mac® RMCA and RMCD recessed ceiling mount luminaires to better meet the demands of correctional facilities. With refinements focused on a reduced profile, lighter weight, and enhanced visual performance, the updated fixtures reflect Kenall’s continued focus on solving real-world facility challenges.
Updated with low-profile housings, these Mighty Mac luminaires help minimize interference with plumbing, conduit, and ductwork, supporting installation where above-ceiling space is limited. Engineered for strength without unnecessary bulk, the fixtures offer a lighter-weight design while maintaining the durability required for specialized environments. The series also retains the full-length concealed internal piano hinge and ligature-resistant construction that correctional applications require.
Uniform lens luminance helps reduce direct glare, improve visual comfort, and deliver better visibility for staff and occupants. With 90 CRI now standard, the luminaires provide improved color rendering for environments where accurate detail recognition matters.
The Mighty Mac RMCA is available in 1'x2' and 1'x4' configurations, while the RMCD is offered in 2'x2' and 2'x4' sizes. Optional tunable white technology is available on the RMCD, providing additional flexibility for facilities seeking greater control over the environment.
By addressing common challenges such as heavy fixture construction, limited above-ceiling clearance, glare, and the need for improved visibility, the Mighty Mac recessed luminaires provide correctional facilities with better-performing solutions built for today’s installation and operational needs.
